Meet our Fall 2017 Interns: Tiscia & Ryan

With a new semester, comes new interns! Our team is pleased to introduce our newest additions to the team for the Fall 2017 semester and even more excited to begin picking their brains!

Who Is Tiscia?

Hi, everyone! My name is Tiscia Haigler, and I am from the small town of Dudley, NC. I grew up riding horses and riding my grandfather’s tractor for fun. By the age of 16, I considered myself to be a country girl with big city dreams. I am currently a sophomore at UNC Charlotte, majoring in both communications and marketing in hopes of one day becoming a digital marketing analyst for an entertainment company. I initially came to college with intent of becoming a doctor but came to the conclusion that it was not for me. I have always had a love for art, small details, and people in general. After being asked to create publications for my job and many organizations on campus, I realized that I could have a career in the business world that encompassed all three and would allow me to use my unique creativity. I am super excited about having my very first internship with the WhirlWind Creative team as I know that there will be lots of experiences to gain and apply to my future career.

Who Is Ryan?

Hello my name is Ryan Essick and I’m excited to be one of Whirlwind Creative’s interns for the upcoming fall. A little about myself, I’m a senior at UNC Charlotte graduating this December with a major in Marketing and a minor in International Management. I actually live in Harrisburg with WhirlWind Creative only being a ten minute drive from my house so you could say I know this area quite well. Creativity I feel is my greatest strength and in my spare time I enjoy making music and traveling. The highlight of my summer (and probably my life up to this point) was that I released my debut album “21 and Up” (which you can listen to here https://soundcloud.com/the-princeton/sets/21-and-up). I hosted an album listening party, and traveled to Italy all within the same weekend. I’ve traveled to 48 states and various European/Central American countries and have been rapping since I was 17 (any hip-hop fans out there?). One thing I hope to gain from this internship is to understand the crucial role a marketing firm plays with expanding their client’s business. My dream job is to one day be a creative director for a company or a professional recording artist, either works for me. Can’t wait to see what’s in store and I’m really glad to be apart of the team here at Whirlwind Creative!
