One-Night-Only Comedy Zone Showcase Featuring Special Guest Jason Allen King
Boatyard Lake Norman is expanding its live entertainment offerings with its first-ever Comedy Zone Showcase, welcoming nationally touring comedian Dale Jones, as seen on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, for a one-night-only performance on Thursday, January 15. Doors open at 6:00 PM.
Jones will be joined by special guest Jason Allen King, delivering an evening stand-up comedy at Lake Norman’s destination for live entertainment, dining, and nightlife.
“Live entertainment is at the heart of what we do at Boatyard,” said Chris Boukedes, owner and operator of Boatyard Lake Norman. “Launching our first Comedy Zone Showcase allows us to bring a new dimension of live performance to the venue while continuing to deliver the kind of high-quality experiences our guests expect.”
With more than 30 years in comedy, Dale Jones is known for his rapid-fire delivery, animated expressions, physical comedy, and quick improvisation. Trained at the world-famous Second City, Jones has appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, TBS – The Very Funny Show, 30 Seconds to Fame, and Stand Up Live Nashville (Seasons 1 and 2). His latest comedy album, I’m Not Well, debuted in the Top 3 on iTunes and Amazon, and his viral stand-up clips have earned millions of views online.
Jones performs regularly at comedy clubs, colleges, corporate events, cruise ships, and festivals nationwide. His accolades include wins at the Comedy 10K, Laughlin, San Diego, and Antelope Valley Comedy Festivals. His acting credits include the MGM film Out of Time alongside Denzel Washington and appearances on Pureflix productions The Comedy All Stars, Malibu Dan the Family Man, and Banking on Christmas.
Admission is $30 and includes reserved seating and a Boatyard Sampler, featuring a selection of the venue’s favorite appetizers. Specialty cocktails will be available, with full table service provided throughout the show.
